Hi All,

Along with pumpkin patch action, I'm looking for a good spot to go apple picking. I live on the peninsula.

For folks on the Peninsula, Gizdich Ranch in Watsonville might be a good option. You can pick your own apples, drink cider, eat apple pie, and then take in the beach in Santa Cruz.

If you are looking for organic apples (and apple juice) and can make it to the north bay, check on Gabriel Farm in Sebastopol. Marin Mommies had a good post on it. This area is lovely in the fall and you can take in a nice lunch in Sebastopol.

If you are on the peninsula and don't want to make the full trip over to Half Moon Bay, check out Webb Ranch in Palo Alto. It's got a nice pumpkin patch, a hay ride, a small "haunted house" (not very scary so even the little ones can go), and a jumpy house. A great place to take a weekend break without having to devote a whole day.
