Calistoga for a fall weekend?

Hi there:

Does anyone have hotel favorites in Calistoga? We are hoping to take the kids, and it looks like Calistoga Ranch does not allow children. Lush greenery and view are ideal, and in general we don't like to impose on B&Bs with kids. Many thanks!

Hi Amanda,

Have you tried Solage? I stayed there and it was both kid friendly and had a great restaurant. Another option might be Meadow Wood which does have cottages which are pretty family friendly.

Let me know where you decide to go...always looking for a good spot in napa!

Hi Amanda,

I agree with CJ that Meadow Wood and Solage are good options. I've heard of a place called cottage grove inn and it sounded like you could get a cute stand-alone cottage close to town. Haven't stayed there but it might be worth checking out.

If you want more adventure you could try Safari West. This more "rustic" but the kids will like sleeping among the animals. They have tents (but with hot showers and comfy beds) but they also have a two bedroom cottage. Even if you don't stay there, I recommend the safari. Definitely a kid pleaser!
