Good family hotels in Napa?

We are planning to spend a weekend in Napa with the kids and wanted recommendations. Prefer to be close to downtown, the market, the wine train, etc. Would like to have dinner at Ubuntu so also want to find babysitting if possible...

Hi Sam,

You may want to try the Westin Napa Verasa. I've heard that it is a good option, especially if you want to be right in Napa. You can walk to Oxbow Market and the Wine Train. If you ask the concierge, they may be able to help out with babysitting but I'd call them in advance to check.

If you want something a little more "boutique" than the Westin you may want to try the http://www.aviahotels.com/hotels/napa/" target="_blank">Avia. A new boutique hotel in Napa, it offers contemporary decor and luxurious suites. Last I looked they had their rooms on sale for 20% off so a king suite was just over $300. It's walking distance to all the great restaurants in downtown Napa. That said, I may have to go to the Westin next time just to use up my Starwood points.
