As an avid traveler, I recognize that the best trip recommendations usually come from people I know. Particularly when it comes to traveling with family, knowing how to find the great vacation rentals, the perfect family beaches (we don't want the kids swept away) and the great family restaurants can make the differences between travel nirvana and, well, the opposite. Everyone's idea of the perfect vacation is different so guide books and travel magazines don't always help you find what is right for you.
